DARREN WILLIAMS / BIO
DIRECTOR, PRODUCER, SHOOTER
Darren Williams has been working as a humanitarian for over 30 years. He began his efforts with studying and professionally implementing numerous integrative medicine therapies in facilities such as Vanderbilt Center for Integrative Health in Nashville, TN, and with private therapeutic services for well known music artists.
Darren’s interest in helping people grew into an even greater desire for more skill and expertise, which in turn gave him the credentials for educating communities. He expanded his career into applying therapeutic approaches to the complex determinants of individuals' health and focused his research on the base level of diet and nutrition of the American population as a whole.
Educating masses of people with life enhancing health choices and holistic therapy modalities became a passion for Darren, so much so that he returned to the academic setting to acquire the professional skills to become a film director and producer.
In 2011, Darren began to work alongside Zac Adams, CEO of Skydive Films and Mike Stryker, CEO of Casting Life Films. Their combined efforts have produced uplifting and inspiring projects ranging from EPKs and Music Videos seen on VH-1, MTV, GAC, CMT, and CMT PURE. Simultaneously, Darren participated in filming powerful documentaries such as the "In America" series narrated by James Denton and Chandra Wilson.
Darren is currently at work producing and directing the film "Satnam" which empowers individuals to hear their "still small voice," or that which reveals authenticity beyond life stories of trauma, pain, stress and environmental situations. The film explores modalities that allow one to reconnect with their body/mind/spirit and the emotional aspects of being human with the intention of self-realization.
Darren feels honored to be modeling the concept of utilizing self-awareness to make personal changes that will ripple out into the world, touching the lives of many. He continues to do this through personal growth practices by volunteering with organizations such as those who help bring clean water and resources to Haiti and in his career efforts of educating America and beyond as a film director and producer.
